I took some baby pictures for a couple on Friday. Look for them on my photography blog in a couple days!

More Birthday fun and Mesa Falls
Sorry I haven't posted any pictures in a while. I've been busy and drawing a blank on what to post for a couple weeks.
On Friday evening Scott told me to go to my friends house(the one that has cut my hair)and she had planned with him to trim my hair, style it in a way it's never been done, and do my make up. I had had no idea about this. It was fun and she really did a good job! Thanks! Then we got dressed up and we went out to eat while his older sister and her family came to babysit BOTH our kids. It was so so great! We were going to go to a nice italian place in IF but we didn't end up getting out of the house until almost 9pm, so we went to Applebees here. It was great(though the waitress kept ignoring me and smiling at Scott!).
After we got home I pinned my hair half way up.
Mesa Falls
We decided we wanted to take advantage of the nice weather this Saturday since it won't last long. We went up to Mesa Falls. We have been there before when David was about 5 months old but we thought it would be fun for him now at this age. Plus it's gorgeous up there.
David and I looking down on the first stop of Lower Mesa Falls.
And this is Upper Mesa Falls. Isn't it beautiful? You can actually get right up to it and stand(on a fenced off deck of course) right over where it starts dropping down. David really thought that was cool. And I don't think there was a rainbow when we were there last time. So pretty!

A Quarter of a Century Old
Today I turned 25, and Scott said that. It sounds much worse that way I think. =) I'm ok with being 25. And I had a good day today. We had chinese take out, something we haven't done in a while, and then Scott and I went to see Get Smart in the cheap theater. We gave our neighbors the monitor so they could listen to David and we took Sydney with us. She did so well and watched the screen calmly until she finally fell asleep. Another great part of my day was all my well wishers. Thankyou to all you who have commented here, on my facebook wall, or who called me. I'm sad that I did miss every call but one. It would have been so good to talk to you guys. The reason I missed them was because I put the phone on silent while the kids and I napped for a couple hours, and then when I left the bedroom I forgot to take it with me or take it off silent. Bummer. But thank you anyway, it means a lot. And I DID have a great day. Thankyou.

The Rexburg Temple
For lack of ideas of things for my blog here are a couple pictures of the rexburg Temple that I took last week. Scott and I were coming out of the dedication of the new stake center where we go to church and the temple was beautiful. From that point of view we were farther away from the temple, and the moon looked the same size as it. We decided to run home and grab the camera to capture it. Though they are still pretty pictures, it was about 20-30 minutes later so the moon was higher and smaller, and we were closer to the temple so it looked bigger compared to the moon. Oh well. So many people were stopping to take pictures of it just like us, it was kinda cool. Temples are such beautiful places.

This was fun
I found this personality career test on MSN.com that sounded fun. They do it by what your favorite and least favorite colors are. Sounds a little iffy I know but it got me right on! It didn't take too long and there's no catch to get your results, so if it sounds like fun to you go to www.careerpath.com They also have other tests you can try out there.

Shrek the Musical
Yes, they have made it into a musical. Even though I love musicals I don't keep up with all the new shows coming out, so this was a surprise. And I really was kinda skeptical, because I mean, come on, a musical about a big green ogre? But, after finding out more about it I really think it could be good. I found this audio clip of Fiona singing while stuck in the tower(starts out with her young and she grows) and I have to say I really like this song. It's a catchy tune and is also pretty funny. Anyways, check it out for yourself! Oh and for those of you from the Seattle area, it just finished it's world premier preview run there in the 5th avenue! I read that broadway producers have discovered that Seattle is a great place to preview a new musical before it moves to broadway. I think it's cool.

Our Little Hiking Adventure
On Friday our little family took off to go hiking at Harriman state park. We had found online a hike that sounded like it would be pretty and very easy for David and carrying Sydney. It was a easy, flat trail that led us through the grass between the forest and the river. When I go hiking I usually like a challenge of some kind but it was so great to just get back to the outdoors and, even better, show it to David. It was so fun to see David's excitement. It was his first hike! And Sydney's too, though I'm not sure if it counts for her since she was carried the whole way. =) Sydney did really well and even fell asleep towards the end
The dirt was so dry that it was like dust and David was absolutely covered in it by the end! He loved it though. =)
I think David's point of view on some parts of the trail were cooler than ours.
This next picture is just from when my friend took our family pictures the other day. We let the boys play for a while afterwards.

Finally Some Real Family Photos!
So my friend Kelly, who I have taken many pictures for, took some photos of US earlier this evening! How exciting! I am so excited, this is the first real family shot we've had ever. I think the last time we had pictures that were actually thought out were our engagements. A little outdated now! Anyway, thanks so much Kelly! You did a great job!

Sydney is 3 Months Old!
Well my little baby is growing up! I can't believe how big she is getting. She really is growing fast. Something I love is that she's sleeping through the night great. Something that's a little harder is that she doesn't sleep for longer than a 1/2 hour at a time during the day and is also a super light sleeper like David. Why can't our kids take after Scott? With our apartment situation right now she is still sleeping in our bedroom. I'm really hoping we'll either figure something out to get her out of there or that we'll move to a bigger place. Sydney has also been doing a lot of smiling lately(though no laughing yet) and I LOVE it! And I'll try to get another video of her talking. The other one I tried to upload was too big. Sydney is such a joy to us and we are so blessed to have her. And though I'm sad to see the baby stage pass by so quickly it is also fun to see them grow. We love you Sydney!I came home one day from running errands and this is how I found Sydney on Scotts lap. I started talking to her and she never changed her expression. Even when I started snapping pictures with the flash. Just so mellow and content and ADORABLE!
We tried on a 3 month dress today, given to Sydney by my cousin Stephanie, along with mittens, booties, and a hat that she had made for her. So cute! Thanks Steph!
Sydney's adorable smile!

Portraits by Alicia
So I finally set up a photography blog of my work. Please go check it out! There's a link on the side of my blog. I haven't quite got all my pictures up yet and I'm not sure about the title of the blog, but it's good enough for people to start looking at. Any ideas for a title? I'm really inept when it comes to naming things. lol. I'm so excited because photography is what I love to do!

Our Adorable Kids
So I tried to upload a video of Sydney talking but it wasn't working so here is a cute picture of Sydney taking a bath. I thought I'd throw this picture in for comparison since so many people are saying she looks like David. Sydney is almost 3 months in the above picture and David is 5 months in this picture here. The obvious differences are that Sydney has dark hair while David had blonde peach fuzz, and she has very dark blue eyes while Davids are a very light blue. Though I think they look similar I also think they look very different. What do you guys think?

We finally pulled out of storage the blocks that I grew up playing with and David loves them.
Ok I had a cute video of David too but it said there was an error. Bummer! Maybe next time.
And just a little update. Our ward split! So instead of having 100 couples we had about 20 there on Sunday. I'm sure it will be a little bigger since it's summer and that was labor day weekened, but not much. Our boundries are really small. They split us away from the other main complex of our ward and took over half the ward with them. Our boundries extended just a little bit in the opposite direction to include some houses and fourplexes and such. The great news is that we are in a real building!! It's a huge brand new stake center and the best part: it has a mothers lounge!! Yay! I'm so glad to be away from campus. David is also not the only kid in nursery which I was afraid of so that's great as well.
