Friday
Scott went shotgun shooting with his brother Russ that morning out by R mountain. They had fun shooting up left over tile from Scott's work and old dishes. And as you can see they tried some interesting things...
After Scott got back he took David to the city parade with some friends from our ward and I stayed behind with Sydney. This picture was taken after they got back. David's shorts are too big in the waist so they sag big time, and he's trying to get a drink from the water filter. We thought it was pretty funny looking so we took a picture. Or rather my sister in law Hilary did. She had come over to our place during the parade.
David at our barbecue that evening with the Congers and Harrison's from our ward. It's pixilated because I cropped it down from a bigger group picture. He just looked too cute. He loved pushing the trike around, which ended up going in circles, since he's too short to ride it.
Group picture! Good times.
We then attempted to watch the firework display at the fairgrounds from in front of our apartment complex, and were joined by a few more couples from our ward. The only problem was that it never seemed to happen. Last year I did the same thing and we had a great view of a great display of fireworks that were really loud. This year we sat there for a good hour and nothing really ever happened. Oh well, we had fun chatting and getting attacked by sprinklers.
Scott and I waiting for the fireworks. I have to say that just previous he had made a couple of his "bombs" and set them off right behind the sign where everyone was sitting. Needless to say it was really funny to see everyone jump. I love those bombs! So fun. They're made with 2 liter bottles, gun powder, and wicks.
Saturday
We went to the spray park again. Surprise surprise. Sorry if pictures from the park are getting redundant. There is nothing else to do here in Rexburg with a young family.
I really like this picture for some reason. Just the way it shows little David along side his tall Daddy.
So Scott had fun getting David pretty wet. He didn't seem to mind but I guess after a while he got sick of it. So he ran behind the stroller to try to hide from Scott. Isn't it so funny the way he's standing there?

Random Pictures Again...
Sorry it's been a while! Our internet has been sketchy the last few days.
About a week ago Sydney slept like this on Scott's lap for about 3 hours. We tried to get her head to sit in a more comfortable position but she just put it right back. On Sunday David and I were sick with another little flu. I don't know why we keep getting sick! But look at Scott. He's such a good Daddy. =) David slept on the couch for quite a while. Something he NEVER does. And then shortly after I took this picture he woke up and decided to try the floor...
And of course I have to add some pictures of Sydney. She's still a doll!
These were taken at the Spray park yesterday. David loves going there. I think it will be part of our daily routine since I'm walking there anyway, and because it's so hot!
He had fun licking the water off his hand.
All of us are enjoying our double stroller.
David is eating with a spoon all by himself now! Yay!

Me
So I have been trying to think of things I could post that are not pictures of my kids. Though I love sharing them and at least our families enjoy them, I wanted to do something different for a change. So here is a list of 10 things the majority of you won't know about me. Hope it's somewhat interesting. I at least enjoyed making it.
1. I took piano lessons for 8 years.
2. I helped my ewe give birth- yes, I had to put my hand IN and everything because the lambs legs were back when they should be forward. I was 9. I am scarred for life.
3. I am writing a book.
4. I placed 19th in the National Junior College Cross Country race, and if I had passed the girl right in front of me our team would have placed 1st instead of 2nd.
5. I've broken my left pinky twice.
6. I have ridden horses a million times and absolutely love them(favorite animal), but to this day cannot feel completely comfortable standing next to one.
7. I hate math more than I hate anything in this world.
8. I used to blast classic disney songs with my siblings, and sing them as we cleaned the kitchen.
9. I've seen the broadway musical "Les Miserables" 4 times and have read the unabridged book.
10. I used to think I was a good drawer until I took a design class in college and realized I really wasn't.

Some Random Pictures

I tried to get a picture of Scott smiling at the camera but he refused to do it. This was taken in between him making faces.
Sleeping like a Princess!
David waiting in line at Porter Park for the free lunch they give out. He was soaked from playing at the Spray Park with his Daddy.
David has discovered how cool the rocking chair is. He has to have his blanket with him and some books every time. Here he is enjoying some little books Grandma Sorenson gave him for Christmas.
Little Sydney again!

Recent Outings
PORTER PARK! So we've been there a MILLION times, but it was nice to get out as a family and let David release some energy and me get some fresh air. My Mom was also there and took the picture of me and Sydney, and my brother David was there.
REXBURG AIR SHOW! on Saturday our family and my Mom went and it was so much fun! We went to the Nature Park to watch instead of the airport and realized we'd made a good decision because we got a great spot front center in the shade and were facing away from the sun. The airplanes were so cool to watch. Several of them did really cool stunts! I'm not really a huge airplane fan, but watching them do crazy stunts and hearing the noise was totally awesome. David obviously really enjoyed it and would shout almost everytime he saw one. I didn't realize how much Scott would like it, but he was loving it probably more than anyone- taking over the camera and getting some great shots and videos. My Mom has basically spent her whole life around planes and so she was so excited to hear the show was happening while she was here and had a lot of fun as well.

Sydney's First Photo Shoot and Family
For these I was just using my digital camera so I couldn't do as much with them as if I was using my SLR. I will do pictures with that camera when she is a month old so keep an eye out for them. Hope you enjoy these ones. She's such a princess!

More Pictures
The last couple days have been great. Having my mom here to help me has been wonderful! I love not being the one chasing after David and cleaning the kitchen. Our little Sydney is SO adorable. I still can't believe it. And guess what?! She slept through the night last night! It was awesome! I'm not really expecting her to keep doing that, but it was great at least once. I also wanted to thank everyone who visited us in the hospital and who babysat for us. It was all very much appreciated!
Here are some more pictures of her and also one of David. Enjoy!

Our Little Angel Has Arrived!
Sydney Sorenson was born at 11:00 "on the dot" Sunday morning. She weighed 7 lbs. 15 oz. and has dark hair!! I can't believe it. I thought all my kids would be bald. She is sooo beautiful and such a little sweetheart. For those of you who care here is a brief rundown of how labor went down. haha. At 3am I started having contractions. Started recording them and working on my last set of VT assignments at 3:20am. Yes I procrastinated. =) We arrived at the hospital at 6am and I was dilated to a 4 and contractions were 6 min apart(they had been between 2 and 5 min before I arrived. Go figure.). They didn't want to admit me yet so they made me walk around the level for a half hour. Painful. Finally got admitted and then FINALLY got an epidural that was working around 8am. After that I dilated fast and only had to push for about 20 minutes! That was so great. David I had to push for hours. I only needed 2 stitches and felt great right after and still. I credit that to the Raspberry combination pill I have been taking for the last 6 weeks and aso to working out regularly throughout the pregnancy. Sydney had to be vaccumed out because she was in distress and had swallowed fluid. But she came back completely well less than an hour later. Anyway, we are both doing very well. I feel soooo much better than I did after having David. He's having a hard time with me not being able to pick him up and of course now that is all he wants. Hopefully he will get used to the situation soon. Anyway, here are some pictures! Enjoy!
Sorry, I did the posts backwards. If you want pictures in chronological order, look at the second post with just pictues first, and then at this one..jpg)

David during one of the few times he was interested in Sydney instead of running around the room opening cupboards and playing with the water(there were foot pedals).
Ready to go home!

A few minutes after she was born before they took her to get her lungs cleaned out.
Same time. Scott wanted to make sure and get a photo of the cone head since he forgot with David. =)

Another Haircut and Baby Heaven
No I have not had my baby. =) But I did get another haircut and I LOVE it! My friend Tristen is so awesome. She came over last minute to cut my hair again because I'm just not sure when this baby is going to come and wanted it shorter before then. My hair grows like a weed, especially while on prenatal vitamins, and had already grown out a ton from the last time she cut it. So this time will hopefully take a little longer. I gave her free reign to do something different with the layers too and I think it looks great. Sorry if this bit is boring or repetitive. I'm just so excited I had to share. =)

A friend in my ward recently had a baby and I was able to take his pictures yesterday. Isn't he so cute?

I'm finding that taking baby photos is really hard because they don't work with you and they move a lot. I'm lucky to like 3 or 4 from a whole roll of film. Sheesh! Just shows I need a lot of improvement. And a digital SLR! =)

One Week Left

So here finally is another pregnant photo. I'm sure you have all been waiting. =) Sorry it's really not a great picture at all but whatever. Doctor says everything looks great. Says the baby is probably about 7 1/2 pounds so I can't complain. I really have been feeling great too considering I'm 9 mo. pregnant. Really the only thing I don't like is sleeping at night. I'm hoping she doesn't come for a few more days cause I have a lot I want and need to do, but who knows. We'll just have to see! She is still nameless- we're going to have to see her first this time.
This Saturday we went to the spray park they have here in Rexburg (it's free!) and as you can see David got more than he bargained for. He likes to run around the fountains and jump in the puddles but he does not like going in the fountains or when the big bucket dumps over and spills water everywhere. Well Scott took him into that and they both got pretty wet(something I hadn't exactly planned on since David is not in a swim suit), and David was not too happy. He wasn't screaming or really freaking out, but he didn't like it. He's ok though and doesn't seem to be so traumatized that he doesn't want to go around it anymore, so that's good. I love watching Scott and David interact. It's great.
