Goodbye Dinosaur!

So we finally got a new phone! It's not the nicest phone out there, just one of the free one's offered by T-Mobile, but it's sure nicer than our old one. I am so excited about it. We've had the other phone for about 4 1/2 years! I will not miss it!

Yay!

I am so excited because I've finally gotten Sydney to take a bottle and formula! She really didn't want anything to do with it until the last week or so. Now I feel like I can actually leave her behind with a baby sitter and not worry the whole time!

Sydney's New Favorite Toy

Ok, so she has many new favorite toys, but she really does love this thing.

Like Father Like Son

This is something David has been doing for a few months now. He is obsessed with it eating his meat before anything else at dinner time. Sounds like someone I know... =)

New Things

Sydney has been getting up into the crawling position lately and rocking back and forth. I'm thinking crawling is not far away. She's also started scrunching her face up when she gets excited. It's really entertaining!

I have a few videos I want to put up so hopefully I'll get that done soon. My kids are just too cute!

Scott's New Settlers Board

So Scott made a new Settlers of Catan board! His brother worked at a cabinet shop and had access to a machine that could cut all the pieces exactly, so he couldn't resist. The other one he cut by hand so they didn't fit together exactly right, which made them have to go in a specific order. And because of that he had to put the resources on different circle pieces so they could still go down randomly. So anyways, this one fits together great no matter what order they're in. It's so nice! Scott probably spent a total of ten bucks on making it too.

Sorry about the glare on this shot. If you look I (orange) was about to win, and Scott (brown-really hard to see which is why he likes it-bottom right) barely got there before me. Grr!! We were playing with 4 of us, the green had just been mostly taken off before I snagged the picture.

Seven Months and Growing, and also Two Year Olds Biting

So as I'm sure you've figured out, Sydney turned 7 months old yesterday. And her first tooth just broke through a few days ago! She seemed to be teething the whole of our Christmas break, though no drool, and David got his first at 5 months, so I knew it was coming soon. She scoots in circles and is working to go forward though she hasn't accomplished it yet. She prefers her stomache so she is very strong in her arms and back. This helps her push away from mommy when she's holding her. She's just as active as David was at this age(for those of you who don't know what that's like- I'm sure she'd love to be running, but since she can't, that means wiggling, throwing her arms around, kicking her feet, and throwing her head around to see EVERYTHING on a constant basis). I have to say I actually really like how wiggly my kids are. They are just so cute and entertaining. Sydney's also still very vocal and is trying new noises all the time. She has almost mastered sitting up. Something I think she would have by now if not for her being held all the time for our 2 weeks of Christmas and family (which she loved by the way). I'm sure she will have it down soon enough. She loves to watch our baby einstien movie, and she and David love each other. I'm hoping that lasts! She also loves to stare at her Daddy, and when he looks up at her she breaks into a HUGE smile. It is so cute! We love our Sydney! She is such a joy to us.

So David tried something new today! Biting. Eek! He got frustrated enough that he tried to bite his friend. Luckily he only got his friends clothes! This is the first time he's done this. Do any of you more experienced mothers out there know a good way to stop this from happening again? I really don't want this to become a habbit!

Our Merry Christmas- Part 3

Here are the last pictures of our holiday adventures.

Winter Wonderland......in Washington?

Farmer family get together at the Biddles

He had a great time playing with these candles. Moving them back and forth. I love it when he finds something that entertains him for so long!

My cousin Sydney holding Sydney, and my cousin McCall holding Sydney's second cousin Mason. One of my uncles with a bunch of my cousins having some good conversation. Julia and I. This isn't the best one we took like this but it's the only one I got on my camera. Julia I need those! =)
My cousin Ben, Scott, and McCall with Sydney.

My Aunt and Uncle with some of their grandbabies.
The Biddle's have a rope swing in their house and Clarissa tried going on it with David. I didn't actually take this picture so I don't know how he took it.

Snow Flake Lane in Bellevue Square
Where band members dress up as toy soldiers and line one street, while in a little square there are characters and other sun stuff. They play a few Christmas songs and march around.

David with his Grandpa Farmer! This was the first time he tolerated being put over some one's shoulders.
Everyone who attended but me.

Snowman Fun

J hanging out in the snow with Sydney after we made the snowman. All of us who helped with the snow man (or at least who were outside during the process), except my Dad who took this picture.

David putting on the face of the snowman with the help of his Grandpa.

Julia and J having fun with my camera after I went inside.
I love this picture. Sydney didn't have gloves, so yes she is wearing socks instead.

Sledding

Julia sledding with David down the bigger hill. As my sister's would start taking him down the hill he would start to say "down, down" which is what he says if he wants someone to put him down or to get out of his booster seat. But he seemed to enjoy it despite that so we weren't sure what he meant by saying it. Maybe he just understood that he was going down the hill. Rosalee, Dad, Clarissa, J, Julia, and David ready to go down as a train. I hopped in front of J and we didn't get more than a few feet before we turned sideways and tumbled down the hill instead. Dad and Clarissa went all the way down though, on their tube. And yes Rosalee is wearing skis. For a few days my parents driveway was not drivable and it's pretty steep, so Rosalee, Clarissa, and dad skied down a few times.

Our Merry Christmas- Part 2

Here are pictures from being with Scott's family.

My niece and nephew and I taking pictures of ourselves. They were so cute. They kept wanting me to take more pictures so they could look at them.Scott playing a kids board game with his brother Jeff and his Dad. We thought it was kinda funny that they started playing it, but they seemed to have a good time. =) David did this for like 10 minutes straight. He'd jump as hard as he could and close his eyes, trusting my sister in law Jillian to catch him. Grandma and Grandpa Sorenson are in the background.

He also discovered over Christmas that he likes to be tickled. So he spent a few minutes running into Jillians arms and letting her tickle him.
Sydney with her Uncle Jeff.
Scottie relaxing at Jeff and Jill's.
We stayed up so late on New Years Eve that we didn't feel like driving back to my parents place to sleep, so we spent the night at Jeff and Jillian's. The next morning David got to enjoy a bath with his cousins! He loved it!
David laughing as he says "cheese" after his bath.
David with his cousin's again. He had a great time with them, and when he sees pictures of them since being home he says their names over and over. Well, more like yells them.
Grandpa Sorenson holding Sydney and her cousin Jarred.
David being extreme while saying "cheese"
Sydney checking out the bunny that Grandma Sorenson made for her. We really love all the things she has made for us. Thanks!
I took this picture while Jenna was dancing and twirling around singing.
