Farmer Reunion

This years reunion was a little lower key than some of the previous ones and it was great to just spend 2 days on the beach and catch up with all the relatives I hadn't seen in a year or two. There were some of you guys missing and we all missed you! I'm sorry to you guys for not taking more pictures of the extended family. Sydney had major stranger anxiety, and David, even though he had a blast in the sand, had melt downs about every hour for about 10 minutes. It was really tough to have crying kids the whole time I'm not gonna lie, but I was still able to have a good time talking and being in the water a little.

Davis Beach
It's tradition now to have breakfast on the beach the Friday of the reunion. Here is J, mom, dad, and Sydney with my uncles Warren and Jim chatting after eating and I made them pose for a picture.David and Julia Sydney with my sister Annalise.

Ponderosa State Park
David mostly just wanted to stay in the sand and just fill buckets with water at the shore, but a couple times we were able to hold him and get him out further. He was still very unsure about it though. This is his grandpa Farmer trying to coax him into the water. And then Scott, J, and Dad thought it would be fun to show David how cool it was that they could bury him in the sand, but he did not like that at all. He screamed the whole time the poor guy. =(
This was so nice. She didn't like it at first but it didn't take her long to realize that being half in the water cooled her down a lot. The poor thing was just baking both days and I'm sure that contributed to her mood.
I think Annalise took this picture.
My favorite part of the reunion... =) She finally fell asleep in the play pen we brought down to the beach. I was so excited and got in the water, but not too long after I looked up and saw Scott holding her so she didn't sleep very long. Atleast I got to stay in the water as long as I wanted.
Scott and David playing in the water together.
Around 4:30 people started heading up the hill to the patio and grass we'd reserved for dinner. It was SOOOO nice and Sydney loved wandering in the grass. Julia even pulled out her guitar and seranaded us for a while, and then she and J sang a duet.David even got to play while Julia sang!David and his uncle J

David kept running over and just sitting in front of the chips and stuffing his face.
Family Pictures
After church on Sunday and before we took off to come to WA, we took family photos. I didn't realize we'd be doing this and we're in our travel clothes, but that's ok. Siblings, minus David(on his mission) and Rosalee(at EFY)Mom and DadClarissa and I

Scott's Actual Birthday

On Monday night Rick and Heidi took us out to eat for his birthday, parents and Russ and Hilary coming too of course, and we went to the most delicious restaurant ever! I don't think I have ever been so impressed with a restaurants food. So so good. Every single one of us was impressed and loved the dish that we got. For those of you in the area, it was Jaker's in IF. Get the deep fried zuccini and dip appetizer!

It is impossible to get Scott to smile for real in any picture I take.

And we were blown away that Russ actually did for this one.
Scott's wonderful parents.

Rick and Heidi being cute.

Don't miss the other two posts below. I did these all back to back.

Birthday Cake

On Sunday we went to Rick and Heidi's house to have Scott's birthday cake with the family. Russ and Hilary, and Mom and Dad Sorenson were there as well so it was a fun party.

I made Scott a Key Lime cheesecake(thanks Kevin and Melanie for the recipe!) and it was a HUGE hit. All the adults thought it was delicious.
I made this cake for the kids to eat and it was easier to do candles on it, so that's what we did.

Christiansen Reunion

Last Saturday we went to Pocatello for a family reunion for Scott's Mom's side. We had a great time visiting with Scott's parents, grandma, and aunts and uncles.

They had a bunch of fun activities for the kids, including face painting! Both of our kids sat very still for that. I'm sure wondering what was going on.

Scott's Mom, Grandma, and some of his aunts and uncles.
There was a pie eating contest that Scott, his brother Russ, and brother in law Rick participated in. None of them won, but it was fun to watch!

Sydney

In the last few days I've taken a bunch of pictures of Sydney at the park. Some of them are fuzzy because this sweet little girl just won't stay still!

Forgot her swimsuit that day. Good thing I had swim diapers though.

Trying to grab the camera...
