Snippets from this last week

A few days ago David's best friend Tanner cam back in town and we got to help him celebrate his 3rd birthday. They had such a great time playing together again! David really missed him. They're not living in Rexburg anymore, but they sure are a lot closer than they were the last 4 months!

On Wednesday night we went to a ward luau and they had the kids hula hooping. Sydney saw them and wanted to do it too. It was way cute. David had a blast at the playground at the same time.
This is Sydney's new FAVORITE thing to do. Any buckles she can get her hand on she will sit there forever and try to put them together and then pull them apart. It's quite nice that something holds her attention for so long!

New Family Pictures

Last night my friend Kelly took family pictures for us. Thank you Kelly! We went out to my brother and sister in law's house where there's this gorgeous barley field basically in their backyard. It was a beautiful day for it too! I've been putting off taking family pictures ever since I found out I am pregnant, because it would be out dated pretty fast. But you know, if I keep saying that then we'll never have any family pictures!

I'd like this one a lot better if I wasn't so short!

Tubing and meeting up with old friends

Ok, this is the last vacation post I promise! My goodness! Our last day in Seattle we got back on the boat even though it wasn't GREAT weather and those who could went tubing. I contented myself with taking funny pictures of them. lol. David was a little scared at first when he saw his Daddy flying around on the water, but I explained to him that it's fun and he warmed right up to it. There were no other boats on the lake so my Mom had to make her own waves and she did a great job I must say...

Scott was laying down to save his back the trauma, rather than sitting, which is great, but it sure makes for funny pictures! lol
There goes J!There goes Scott!

They're not really banging heads...

After tubing I was able to meet up with some old friends(and the weather turned amazing!). Amber and I have known each other since we both ran Cross Country in 7th grade. She's married now with an adorable little girl. Sadly we only got to visit for a few minutes before she had to run, but it was definately good to see her! Wish I remembered to get a picture! Our good friend Brett was there too, though, and we were able to hang out and chat for over an hour. It was so good to see her again. We ran Cross Country together my last 2 years of highschool, along with Amber. Such good times!
We wanted to get a shot with the kids as well but they weren't really cooperating. =)

Carkeek Park- Another vacation adventure

Even though it was cloudy and a little chilly we still had a great time at the beach. It took David a minute to warm up to finding crabs, but then he loved it, and Sydney was having so much fun just wandering around. My Mom and Clarissa were there too but somehow eluded the camera. Grandpa Farmer, David, and Rosalee looking for crabs.

Playing with a shell... J and I
So I was trying to get a picture of the sea anemane but there was a huge glare on the water. So Rosalee lent me her shadow. =) So the white areas are the glare.
Sydney just about chomped down on the seaweed but Scott has quick reflexes and was able to stop her. Tasty!David with his Aunt's, Rosalee and Julia.
This snail started moving around as I was looking at it. I thought it was pretty cool.

Fun with Scott's Family

Later on in our vacation we were able to stay for a couple days with Scott's brother Jeff, his wife Jillian, and their twins. We started off, though, at Jillian's Mom's house for a combined birthday party for Jeff and their twin son and daughter. Scott's Dad was also there and it was great to see him, and David really wanted to play with his cousins new toys. =)

Then that night Jillian and I went to see the 6th Harry Potter which she hadn't seen yet. This isn't the greatest picture of either of us, but we kept trying to get better ones and it wasn't working. We had a good time trying though.
Here's David with his adorable cousins. David had a BLAST playing with them! By this time Sydney was warming up a lot faster to new people and places and she also had a lot of fun at their house. Woohoo!

We also got to spend a couple nights with our great friends the Kilpatricks, but I forgot to get any pictures! It is always so good to see them.

Boating on Lake Washington

After our Reunion (which I neglected to say was in McCall, ID) we went with my family up to the great pacific northwest. We stayed there for about a week and a half, and had a blast. Unfortunately it was only hot and sunny the first 2 days we were there, so we didn't get to be on the boat as much as we wanted to. However we were able to have a blast those first 2 days and also got out for a couple hours before dark on the 3rd. So here are a bunch of pictures from our adventures on the boat.

David loved helping drive the boat.
This was Sydney's first boating experience and she warmed up to it quite fast. Here, we are with her on the swim platform while the boat is stopped in the middle of the lake.

David floating with his Grandpa! He was a little unsure about it.
Getting the hang of it again after not doing it for a year and a half.Throwing in the roap! Afterwards!
Scott surfing. He's actually more of a wake boarder because he likes the speed and switching wakes, and attempting jumps. =)

Sydney chillin with Julia.
J, Clarissa, Mom, Rosalee, and David chillin on one side of the boat to help make a bigger wake. My parents also have a balast(sp?) that makes the wake a lot bigger.
The next day we went to Ivar's on the water and had great fish and chips! I actually had salmon and chips, which I had the last time we went there, and it is amazing.

Getting back on the boat after we finished eating. Just to the left you can actually see Seattle across the lake.

More boat play after Ivar's. David LOVED the boat as you can see.
David and aunt Rosalee.
Grandma showing David her cool hat.

J chillin in the front.

David was in love with Grandpa's sun glasses.
The next day I surfed behind the boat with no rope for about 5 minutes! It was so fun!

Scott manning the flag.
Sydney with Grandma.
Sydney started making this face as right before I took each picture, because she could see the little red light go on meaning it was about to flash. It was so funny once she figured out that she was preparing for the flash.

Scott with the kids.
