Any of you who knew Scott pre-mission know that Scott loves to pull pranks. These days he usually keeps them to a minimum, unless we're talking about his family. Since we've been here he particularly enjoys playing pranks on his sister Heidi. And I have to say she's a really good sport about it all. Well before I get into his latest prank I have to tell a story I didn't tell in the last post. Us adults were in the middle of our Easter egg hunt. I had looked under their huge couch and saw some eggs but they were out of reach so I told my sis in law Hilary they were on the other side. Well she got down and looked under the couch for them and says, "Oh, there's a mouse." I wouldn't say it was pandemonium, but there were us ladies kinda anxious for it to be caught, and the men and boys all excited. At one point it ran out from under the couch and into a corner, and I thought that if I stood between it and the couch he wouldn't dare pass me. Well I was wrong. This little mouse kept running at me and stopping, running at me and stopping, until it looked like it was going to run over my feet. So I I'm there kicking my feet towards him, more frantically as he got more daring, and finally leaped out of the way screaming, convinced he was going to try to bite me. haha. When did I become such a pansy? Anyway, long story short the guys finally caught him under a bucket and killed it. =( Despite my encounter I wanted them to let him go outside. I guess maybe he's in a happier place. I went back upstairs and started enjoying the candy and taking pictures of the kids. We had no idea what was brewing down stairs between Scott, Russ, and one or two of our nephews(Heidi's boys).
I guess they had put the mouse inside an Easter egg and set it on Heidi's dresser hoping she'd open it and freak out. Well one of her sons who was in on it told his little brother that there was an Easter egg in her room with candy in it. Poor Simon apparently went in and opened it, and Heidi who was upstairs heard a blood curdling scream. Of course when we arrive to spend the next day with them we hear all about it. I naturally feel sorry for the poor guy and Scott of course laughs hysterically! lol. Their prank was a success! It made Scott's day. I just have to say I'm glad he knows not to do those things to me! =) He cracks me up. I love my honey, and the laugh that says he got someone good!

Easter Weekend!
This weekend was not only Easter for us but also our church's General Conference that's held semi anually. So we made a family weekend of it and we had a great time! Saturday we did Easter egg hunts(divided by age- the adults even and somehow we ended up with the most candy!) and egg dying/painting inbetween and after the sessions of conference. Sunday we listened to the sessions, played outside for a little bit(Scott, David and our nephews did anyway) and then had our Easter dinner. Again, we love hanging out with family and had such a great time. We have been so lucky to have some of Scott's family here with us in Rexburg and are really going to miss them when we leave. Here are a bunch of pictures(again!) of our fun this last weekend.
Aunt Hilary helping some of the kids fill the eggs with candy in preparation! Well, my kids were more like trying to open them and eat the candy.Pay no heed to Sydney's hair...=) She took off her snow hat.
They needed a little help.
Especially Sydney who didn't quite get it.
Enjoying a little candy!
Parker has turned into a little smiler! He does it constantly and this one isn't even as big as usual.
Owen checking out his cousin Parker.
Daddy relaxing...
Sydney dying Easter eggs with Mommy's help. If you can see, she plunged her whole right hand into the yellow dye. It was yellow for a while!

Parker's Baby Blessing
This last Sunday we had Parker's baby blessing, and it was so great to have family in town for it!Scott's parents came up as well as my Dad and three younger sister's. With my brother, cousin and two of Scott's siblings and families already in town it was quite the party! We had such a great time and miss everyone who came up already.
This is everyone who we asked to be in the circle except one of Scott's friends. I am so glad I was able to convince them to take this picture right after because Parker pooped a little in his outfit and had to be changed.
From left to right: Scott's Dad, Enoch(Scott's Home Teaching companion), Russ(Scott's Brother), Rick(brother in law), J(my bro), Scott and Parker(obviously), Ben(my cousin), My Dad(whom Parker John is named after), Eric(my cousin), our former Bishop of 3 years, and Brian(Scott's boss and friend since moving here). Thanks so much to all of you for sharing with us in this special event!Right after church I had my sister take a family picture of us. Or several...trying to get a great shot. But you know, with tired hungry kids that's just not going to happen. =)
As you can see it just got worse...poor girl
And here are a TON of pictures of hanging out with all the family the whole weekend. I put all these up mainly for family to enjoy so sorry there are so many.
J and Rosalee dancing.
but as you can see they just dove into the dough already on the pans. Right after Dad picked Sydney up and gave her a spoon to help she dug it into the bowl and shoved a huge mouthful in her mouth before we had a chance to blink. It was pretty funny actually. And then-funny story- When David was done he opened the silverware drawer and stuffed his used spoon in it. I planned on taking it out as soon as I could get off the couch, but then I thought I saw David take it out so I didn't. Well the next morning I got a spoon out for my cereal without really looking at it and was laughing after I took a bite because there was dry cookie dough crusties all over it! Ew! We got a kick out of it!
Look at Parker's face! So cute!
Scott and his cousin Anna.
Brother in law Rick with Russ and Hilary's son Owen.
Rosalee enjoying Owen as well.
I persuaded my sister Julia to sing a couple of her original songs for us. Here David is joining in with Rick's guitar.
Russ and Hilary
Some of the kids went outside for a while to enjoy the sun. I brought Sydney out for just a few minutes(it was kinda cold) and she had a blast. So much room to roam!
Here she is saying "Bye, weet!! Bye, weet!!" meaning goodbye tweet(birdie). So cute!
Scott went outside a little after me and caught pictures of David riding his cousins scooter. Boy can I tell you he was in HEAVEN. Can't wait til we have more space and we can get him his own.
Sydney reading stories with Grandpa Sorenson. I have to say here that I am SO bummed I totally didn't get any pictures of Parker with his Grandma and Grandpa Sorenson, or any of Grandma Sorenson at all. How on earth did that happen? =( We sure appreciate them coming!
Again we had such a great weekend with all our family, especially because they were able to make this special day even more special. We love you guys!
