So every year for Christmas Scott and all of his siblings get together to give their parents one big gift. This year we decided that new countertops and a new microwave(installed above the stove instead of sitting on the counter) were in order. They have been trying to sell their house so this would help upgrade it and they can enjoy it themselves as long as they're there. Because of Scott's tile job he's had for almost a year he was the one that got that going and taught his brothers how so they could help him. For several days while we were up in WA they worked away in his parents kitchen. I don't have much to say because I was not there while they worked, but I can say that it is beautiful and that Scott did a GREAT job! He designed the backplash and everything. I think it's wonderful that Scott has this new talent and I'm much looking forward to it when we own our own house!
I don't have any before shots unfortunately, sorry! But here is one picture from during the process.Scott and his brother Jeff finishing it off by putting the outlets back in.
Scott's parents very happy with their new kitchen! (Scott's Dad also decided to put in a new sink)

Looks great! Good job Scott.
Wow, that looks great. Just let us know when Scott want to come down and do our kitchen, hehe!
Wow! That looks so awesome! Don't tell my mom and dad, though--don't want them to get any grand ideas. ;-) J/k!
That is such a nice Christmas present! So thoughtful!
Sorry I didn't get you my pics, the ones you got are better then mine anyways. I was feeling really crappy yesterday when I was going to send them. I have a funny one of Scott and Jeff that I will send you as soon as I can.
What an awesome idea! I hope you guys had a great Christmas.
Hey Alicia,
Scott's mom said he'd be happy to pick up some extra work and help us with our kitchen. Isn't that nice of her. ; ). Seriously if you guys get here and need some work to tide you over, come see us. 14 years of white linoleum is enough!!!!!!
