I also wanted to comment that I am finally reading the Twilight series. I finished the first one in 2 days and am a few chapters into the second. I enjoyed the first one but have to say I would not compare it to Harry Potter. I really like Edward and the mystery and stuff surrounding him. Bella- well I really don't like her that much. Granted, she is in love with a super hot super powered vampire and not just a normal human, which I guess would merit being more obsessive and attached. But she's way to hapless and emotional and crazy and damsel in distress for me. That's OK. Harry wasn't my favorite character in Harry Potter either. The end of the first one was really exciting and I'm waiting for the second one to get more upbeat. Does it before the last 100 pages?? Anyone?? I actually read an article on MSN about it and lucky me had a huge part about the second one spoiled. Major bummer. Oh well. So far I don't think they're buy worthy, but I realize that could be because I'm not really a romance fan. I want more of what happened at the end of the first one! And less moping about chapter after chapter. Anyways, I'm sure it gets more exciting or else it wouldn't be so popular. But if it doesn't, someone let me know now so I can just stop.

You crack me up! Yep, Twilight is definitely not anything like Harry Potter... :) It gets better, no worries, and the third one has tonsssssss of suspense in it that is great! I'm getting the 4th one delivered to my parents house while we're on vacation, so when I get back you're more than welcome to borrow it if you've read the 3rd one by then... It's addictive!
That video is too cute! I'm sad she was so sleepy the whole time we were up there.
I love her!!
Hi there! This is Annalise's old friend Kim Dunn (now Hedges). I found your blog through Annalise because I wanted to see her engagement pics. We had babies at about the same time, can you believe it? I'm just shocked that it's your second!
Bella is an unbelievable heroine, I agree, and the sad news is that the second book really doesn't get better. Even the climax is boring! I thought that the third book picked up a lot in comparison. As much as I admire Stephanie Meyer for what she's made out of her original idea, it's no Harry Potter.
So, it's interesting to read your comment after all the hype I've heard about these books. I always resist trends, so it took me forever to read Harry Potter. Tim bought them all for me (the ones written so far) for my birthday when we were first dating, so I had to read them. Your blog just reminds me of all of that. I'm glad for the heads up, so I can eventually just get them from the library.
Well, Alicia, I have to tell you that I LOVED the Twilight series. I read each book very quickly. The second one was probably a little more difficult because it does have Bella just moping about a lot, like you said, but if you can make it through all of that, you'll probably enjoy the third one. However, I am a romance fan, so maybe they're just not the books for you. Ryan just ordered the fourth book for me and it is on its way, but I'm a little worried about it because I have heard some spoilers in that book already! Bummer! Well I hope you enjoy the rest of your reading! By the way, will you guys still be living in the same place for a while. We'll be back to the ward at the end of this month, I believe. So hopefully we'll see ya soon!
I totally agree with you about Bella and the second book was my least favorite so far. Bella does do alot of moping around and it doesn't get good until the end. I think it is worth it though to get to the third book which I think is the best. They aren't my favorite novels but are still fun to read. I haven't read the last one yet but you should let me know how it is. Your video of Sydney is so cute. I can't believe she is only 2 months.
You know how I feel about Twilight: Just Say No!!!!
